Position Title:     Event and Communications Coordinator with the Poultry Industry Council

Reports to:          Executive Director

Salary range:       Commensurate with experience and education

Based in Guelph, Ontario Canada, the Poultry Industry Council (PIC) is a non-profit corporation that delivers poultry extension services, event coordination, and project and program management while supporting research capacity for the betterment of the Ontario industry.

PIC is currently seeking an Event & Communications Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for scheduling, planning, and coordinating events for the sector.  Contribute to the development of publications and web-pages, facilitate marketing campaigns, schedule meetings, create timelines and help plan events.

The Event & Communications Coordinator will be responsible for developing communications materials and messages regarding PIC’s programs and events and will be required to build media/social media as a means of better communicating education/extension messages to our stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess strategic communication, advocacy, marketing and leadership skills, along with the proven ability to complete work/projects in a timely manner. Attention to detail will also be paramount.
